The Cando Area Food Pantry, established in 2003, is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization located in Cando, North Dakota. Housed in the lower level of the Cando Lutheran Church at 304 5th Avenue, the pantry serves all of Towner County and the surrounding areas. It operates on Mondays from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM and on the third Friday of each month from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Additionally, the pantry hosts three annual holiday food distributions. They also provide the BackPack Program at North Star School and administer the Federal Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP) for seniors in the county.
